Appearance: Colorless or white rhombic flake crystal.
Characteristic:
Azobisisoheptanenitrile is an oil-soluble azo initiator, abbreviated as ABVN, alias V-65, colorless or white rhombic flake crystal, with two isomers, Gu and trans, the melting point is 55.5～ 57°C and 74-76°C. The mixing ratio of the two is 55% for low melting point and 45% for high melting point. Insoluble in Chemicalbook water, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, ether and dimethylformamide. It decomposes in case of heat or light, and emits nitrogen gas, and generates cyanide-containing free radicals at the same time. The decomposition temperature is 52℃, and it will decompose in 15 days at 30℃. Flammable, explosive and toxic. It can be used as an initiator for the polymerization of ethylenic monomers such as methyl methacrylate, and can also be used as a foaming agent.
