D-Camphorsulfonic acid (CAS No. 3144-16-9), with the molecular formula C10H16O4S and a molecular weight of 232.297, is also known as (1S)-(+)-Camphorsulfonic acid or Reychler’s acid. It is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of 191-195℃ (decomposes), a specific rotation of +19.5° to +23.0° (C=20, H2O), is hygroscopic, slightly soluble in acetic acid, and soluble in water. It is mainly used as an intermediate and resolving agent in organic synthesis, and has applications in pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
