Dimethyl sulfoxide APPLICATION:
1.It is used as solvent for polymerization and condensation of acrylic resin and polysulfone ester, solvent for polymerization and drawing of polyacrylonitrile and acetic acid fiber, solvent for extraction of alkane and aromatic separation, solvent for extraction of aromatic hydrocarbons and butadiene, solvent for spinning of acrylic, solvent for plastic and reaction medium for organic synthesis of dyestuff and pharmaceutical industry.
2.In medicine, dimethyl sulfoxide has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects, and has strong permeability to the skin, thus dissolving certain drugs and allowing them to penetrate into the body for therapeutic purposes.
3.As an additive for pesticides. Adding small amounts of dimethyl sulfoxide to certain pesticides helps the pesticide penetrate into the plant to improve its efficacy.
4.Dimethyl sulfoxide can also be used as a dyeing solvent, depigmenting agent and dyeing carrier for synthetic fibers
5.As an absorbent for recovering acetylene and sulfur dioxide
6.Synthetic fiber modifier, antifreeze agent and capacitor medium, brake fluid, rare metal extractant, etc.
7.Used as analytical reagent and gas chromatography fixative, also used as solvent in UV spectroscopy analysis Used as organic solvent, reaction medium and organic synthesis intermediate
