This product is amber to brown oily liquid, relative density 1.029, melting point 10～ 12℃, flash point 210℃, fatty odor, insoluble in water, soluble in hot oil and organic solvent. Not soluble in isopropanol, tetrachloroethylene, xylene, cottonseed oil, mineral oil, etc. Span 80 is a high-grade lipophilic emulsifier.

1.Span 80 is used as emulsifier, stabilizer, thickener and wetting agent in medicine, cosmetics and textile industries, and can also be used as dispersant in paint industry and emulsifier in oil field.
2.Span 80 used in emulsion explosives, petroleum, medicine, cosmetics, textile, paint, leather and other industries
3.Span 80 used as a stationary liquid for gas chromatography and also as an emulsifier
As W/O type food emulsifier, used alone or mixed with Tween-60, Tween-80 and Tween-65. my country stipulates that it can be used in vegetable protein beverages, milk, hydrogenated vegetable oil, bread, cakes and toffee, with a maximum usage of 1.5g/kg; in fruit juice (flavored) beverages, the maximum usage is 0.05g/kg. In addition, it can also be used for the preservation (coating) of vegetables and fruits, and can be used in moderation according to production needs.
4.Good oil-in-water emulsifier. Gas chromatography stationary liquid (maximum temperature 150°C, solvent is methanol) to separate and analyze oxygen- containing compounds.
5.A nonionic surfactant that can be used to form oil-in-water emulsions and can be combined with low-HLB surfactants to form water-in-oil emulsions.
